DAY 1: Cochin

After arrival at Cochin, transfer to your hotel. After proceed for Boat cruise
Overnight stay will be at hotel.

DAY 2: COCHIN

Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as 'God's Own Country'. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala.
Depart for half day sightseeing visiting Synagogue, Dutch Palace & St. Francis Church, Chinese nets, Jewish Synagogue. The Synagogue is next to the Mattancherry Palace. It is possible to see the Great Scrolls of the Old Testament and the copper plates on which privileges were granted to the Jewish community by the Kochi rulers.

DAY 3: Cochin – Munnar

Morning drive to the beautiful hill station of Munnar.
Munnar - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool air - yes! Munnar has all these and more housing world's highest tea-growing estates.
Upon arrival, check-in at hotel.
Proceed for sightseeing of Munnar, which includes Rajamalai, Matuppetty, and Kundala Dam. (Subject to permission from authorities)Overnight stay will be at hotel.

DAY 4: Munnar

A day for trekking and other activities

DAY 5: Munnar - Periyar

Morning drive to Periyar(90 kms). Upon arrival check-in at hotel.
Periyar- Sprawling across 777 sq. kms. Of the Cardamom Hills of the Western Ghats, Thekkady is the home to one of the largest wildlife reserves in India. Alive with exotic flora and vibrant wildlife, it is the perfect getaway tucked away among hills.
Afternoon visit to Periyar wildlife
Overnight stay will be at hotel.

DAY 6: Houseboat

Back water trip. Overnight stay will be at Houseboat.
Kerala is known for its panoramic backwater stretches, lush green paddy fields, highlands and beaches. The major backwater stretch is in Kottayam district, where a network of rivers and canals empty into the great expanse of water called the Vembanad Lake. Located at Kumarakom 16 km from Kottayam town, the Vembanad Lake, an enchanting picnic spot and a fast developing backwater tourism destination, provides boating, fishing and sight seeing experiences that are truly exhilarating.

About Houseboat

Earlier Houseboats of Kerala are known as "Kettuvallam", these huge, ling and tapering barges were traditionally used to cargo tonnes of goods across kingdoms, with portion covered with bamboo and coir serving as a rest room and kitchen for the crew. A familiar sight on the Backwaters, these vessels are built entirely without nails. Plants of jack wood are joined together and coir rope and coated with caustic black resin made from boiled cashew kennels. With careful maintenance they last for generations. Today widely and appropriately called Luxury Houseboats, (Kerala Backwaters) they carry furnished bedrooms, modern toilets, cozy living rooms, a kitchen and even a balcony for angling. As you cruise down the canal you can see morning newspaper and mail delivery by boat, vendors in boat paddle from house to house selling everyday provisions like rice, vegetables, oil, kerosene etc. with hundreds of quacking ducks around. Also you can see village activities, fisherman's activities and see old beautiful temples, churches and old fashioned Kerala

DAY 7: Kumarakom – Kovalam

Drive to to Kovalam on arrival check in to the hotel. Over night will be at hotel.

DAY 8: Kovalam

Free at beach

DAY 9 : Kovalam – Tivandrum - Kovalam

Free at Beach

DAY 10 : Kovalam – Tivandrum – Home

Drive to Tivandrum airport to board the flight to Home.
